TMU's Motto to be unveiled in Research Week

TMU’s motto will be unveiled on December, 13, during the Research Week. The call for proposing a motto for the university was made at the start of 2016. The submitted proposals were reviewed and assessed by a team consisting of the members of TMU’s International Scientific Collaboration Office, Board of Directors and TMU’s Council in seven separate meetings. At the end, “Wisdom, Knowledge, Truth” was selected as the University’s motto.

It needs to be noted that the Persian motto which was proposed by Dr. Amir Omidvar, is originally a verse by the great Iranian Epic poet, Ferdowsi.

As was mentioned in the call, the three top proposed mottos will be offered prizes. The second motto proposed by Mr. Reza Koushki read “there is no border for knowledge” and the third best motto was put forth by Mr. Sajad Musavi, a Ph.D. Candidate in linguistics, which was “Wisdom is the Golden Crown of Humanity”.
