Science and Technology Site to be developed in the vicinity of TMU


TMU's chancellor announced the establishment of an area of science and technology in the vicinity of the university at the ceremony held for the introduction of new directors of the Science and Technology Park on 2nd of October.

At this ceremony, Dr. Ahmadi said: "I hope that the new manager of Science and Technology Park will strive to take advantage of past experience and accelerate the use of large capitals like human resources, technological facilities and physical capitals available at the university, all of which can be utilized to perform outstanding results in the near future”.

Stressing the creation of an area of science and technology in the vicinity of the university and the quality of the technology groups and exploitation of the conditions and facilities of the private sector, he said: “by minimum private sector investment, we can achieve the desired outcomes in terms of sustainable employment and attain significant profits for investors”.

He added that reliance on state budget should be reduced more attention should be given to the resources of private sector.

Referring the mission of Science and Technology Parks, Dr. Omie, its former director, said: "The main mission of such parks concerns the discovery of new ideas, we need an elite parliament where the academic elites can convene and the Science and Technology Park can play the role of such parliaments”.

He wished success to Dr. Ebrahimi, the new park manager, and expressed hope that more ideas would be discovered in the park and it can be turned into an excellent science and technology park for the university.

In the continuation of this meeting, Dr. Ebrahimi, the new park manager, presented a report on the activities carried out during the past month.

He said that during this period they had managed to hold several meetings with the heads of different parks. “We also have a plan to replace our temporary permit with a definitive one from the Ministry of Science”. He added.

At the end of the ceremony, the former director’s service was appreciated by offering him an honorary award.
