Biological Sciences

Biochemistry group has begun his education and research activities with accepting M.Sc. student in biochemistry field from 1370 and a new phase of activities is continued by accepting PhD student in Biochemistry. Currently 8 graduate students and 5 PhD students in biochemistry are registered annually.

Biophysics Group began its activities with accepting M.Sc. students in 1374 and also It has launched a Ph.D. student from 1380. Currently this group has 4 academic staffs and 40 M.Sc. and PhD students are studying.

For the first time in Iran the M.Sc. course of Molecular Genetics field was established by Dr. Mohammad Reza Nouri Deloii and Dr. Hossein Naderi Manesh in the Tarbiat Modares University in 1362. The group gradually added on its activity that launched PhD courses jointly with the Institute of Genetics.

Nanobiotechnology groups was added to this collection in 1386., Nanobiotechnology is terms that refer to the intersection of nanotechnology and biology. It refers to a particular application of nanotechnology and also refers to build new tools to study biological systems.

Plant sciences, including basic cellular and molecular biology of plants and also Traditional botanical such as physiology, systematic, ecology, evolution, anatomy and morphology. Educational activities and research interests of Plant Sciences group covers a wide range of algae and higher plants.
