در این نامه آمده است:

به گواه شواهد متقن تاریخی، کشور ایران دارای یکی از کهن‌ترین و درخشان‌ترین تمدن های بشری است که در طول ادوار مختلف تاریخ، همواره الهام بخش سایر تمدن‌ها و منشا بسیاری از خدمات علمی و فرهنگی به انسانهابوده است. ملت و کشور ایران مفتخر است که علیرغم برخورداری از مولفه های قدرت به‌ویژه موقعیت بسیار راهبردی در ژئوپلیتیک جهانی، در طول تاریخ چند هزارساله خود هیچگاه آغازگر جنگی نبوده و همواره از برقراری صلح و عدالت در دنیا پشتیبانی کرده است.

 

 با وجود این سابقه درخشان، متاسفانه در تاریخ 28 فبریه 2026 برای دومین بار در طول نه ماه گذشته، کشور عزیزمان ایران مورد هجوم همه جانبه و گسترده ایاالت متحده آمریکا و رژیم اسراییل قرار گرفت. 

 

این حمله غافلگیرانه در حالی انجام شد که مذاکرات دو جانبه ایران با آمریکا با میانجیگری برخی کشورها در جریان بود. آمریکا و رژیم اسرائیل در این تجاوز غیرقانونی و نابخردانه، فجایع بزرگی را علیه ملت شریف و مظلوم ایران رقم زدند و رذالت‌های اخلاقی بیشماری را در کارنامه سیاه خود ثبت کردند.

 

 نقض تمامیت ارضی ایران، تخریب اماکن نظامی و غیر نظامی و زیرساخت‌های آموزشی و فرهنگی و بهداشتی، اقدامات هولناک جنگی علیه غیرنظامیان و کشتن دهها هزار نفر از شهروندان و مردم عادی به‌ویژه زنان و کودکان بیگناه و بی پناه و نیز کشتار خبرنگاران بین‌المللی و نمایندگان سازمان ملل متحد، تنها گوشه‌ای از جنایاتی است که آمریکا و رژیم اسراییل علیه بشریت و ملت مظلوم ایران مرتکب شده و می‌شوند.

 

 امروز هم شاهد هستیم که ایالات متحده آمریکا و رژیم اسراییل آشکارا اصول حقوق بین‌الملل، کنوانسیون‌ها و عرف های حقوق بشر و حقوق بشردوستانه را نقض و آنها به ورطه نابودی و اضمحلال کشانده‌اند و بیم آن میرود که تلاش‌های جنابعالی در کسوت دبیرکلی سازمان ملل متحد برای استقرار صلح و عدالت جهانی و بارقه‌های امید برای ایجاد جهانی عاری از جنگ و خشونت کاملا از بین برود.

 

 برخی از این بیرحمی‌ها و جنایات جنگی که ارتکاب آنها توسط ایالات متحده آمریکا و رژیم اسراییل علیه ملت ایران طی یک هفته گذشته مورد تایید نهادهای بین المللی بیطرف جهانی قرار گرفته، از این قرار است:

۱_ نقض اصول مندرج در منشور ملل متحد از جمله اصل ممنوعیت تهدید یا استفاده از زور علیه یک کشور عضو سازمان ملل متحد با توجیه مضحک دفاع مشروع پیشگیرانه، اصل برابری دولتها و اصل تعیین سرنوشت مردمان.

۲_ طرح ادعاهای وقیحانه، مداخله در امور داخلی ایران در نقض اصول کلی حقوق بین الملل مبنی بر به رسمیت شناختن حق تعیین سرنوشت مردمان و استقالل سیاسی کشورها

 

۳_نقض اصول و قواعد عرفی و کنوانسیونی حقوق بشر و حقوق بشردوستانه از جمله به ارتکاب جنایت ذیل:

 حمله به مراکز فرهنگی و آموزشی از جمله کشتن یکصد و شصت و هشت دانش آموز خردسال در یک اقدام وحشیانه

 هدف قراردادن بناهای فرهنگی و تاریخی از جمله اماکنی که مطابق اسناد بین المللی به عنوان میراث فرهنگی جهانی ثبت شده است.

 حمله به بیمارستانها و مراکز درمانی، مراکز اورژانس و کشتن صدها بیمار، پرستار و پزشک

 بمباران اماکن غیرنظامی و به شهادت رساندن مقامات سیاسی، رهبران مذهبی و افراد غیرنظامی

 بمباران زیرساخت‌های اقتصادی، ملی، مراکز دانشگاهی و مناطق مسکونی

بدون تردید بیتوجهی و بیتفاوتی نهادها و شخصیت‌های بین‌المللی نسبت به نقض فاحش اصول حقوق بین الملل و ارتکاب چنین شقاوت‌های غیر حقوقی و غیر اخلاقی، ضربه ای سخت بر پیکر نحیف حقوق بین الملل و نهادهای بین المللی، از جمله حقوق بین الملل بشر، حقوق بشردوستانه و اخلاق انسانی و فرهنگ صلح دوستی وارد خواهد کرد.

ما جمعی از استادان رشته های مختلف علوم انسانی در ایران که دغدغه‌مند صلح و عدالتیم، ضمن ابراز تاسف عمیق از نقض تمامیت ارضی کشورمان و تداوم جنایت ایالات متحده آمریکا و رژیم اسراییل علیه ملت شریف ایران به ویژه ترور غیرقانونی و غیراخلاقی رییس دولت و رهبر سیاسی و مذهبی جامعه، خاطرنشان میکنیم که از عواقب و تبعات ارتکاب این جنایات بسیار نگرانیم و هشدار می دهیم که منطق و ایدئولوژی انحرافی و مبتنی بر تبعیض نژادی صهیونیسم با پشتوانه رفتارهای خودپرستانه و متکبرانه رییس جمهور کنونی ایالات متحده، کم کم بر منطق صلح‌دوستی و حقوق بشری که ثمره قرنها تلاش اندیشمندان و متفکران جهانی برای هدایت جوامع بشری به دفع شر جنگ، خشونت و رسیدن به جهانی آرام بوده است، برتری یابد و جهان را در منجلاب خواست این اقلیت افراطی و مسلح به صفات غیرانسانی که چه بسا برای انحراف افکار عمومی از پرونده فضاحت‌های اخلاقی‌اش این فاجعه جهانی را رقم زده، به‌نحوی غرق نماید که ترمیم آن دهها، بلکه صدها سال به طول انجامد.

 

لذا از آن مقام عالی انتظار میرود در این گذرگاه مهم تاریخی و با توجه به تحولات اخیر به ویژه حملات بی سابقه به زیرساخت های حیاتی ایران و با تکیه بر وجدان اخلاقی، وظایف و اختیارات قانونی و سازمانی خویش مطابق با منشور ملل متحد، بدون قید و شرط، موضوع تجاوز نظامی ایالات متحده آمریکا و رژیم اسراییل به ایران که به مثابه نقض صلح و امنیت بین المللی به شمار می آید را خود شخصا به شورای امنیت سازمان ملل ارجاع داده، ارتکاب این جنایات خطیر بین المللی و نقض های فاحش حقوق بشر و حقوق بشردوستانه را قاطعانه و سریعا محکوم و کلیه اقدامات الزم و ضروری را در ایجاد یک همگرایی و اتحاد جهانی در توقف فوری جنگ و پیشگیری از ارتکاب این جنایات و تحکیم حاکمیت صلح و قانون معمول نماید.

Your Excellency,

According to compelling historical evidence, Iran possesses one of the ancient and most illustrious civilizations in human history, which throughout different eras has consistently inspired other civilizations and served as a source of numerous scientific and cultural contributions to humanity.

The Iranian nation takes pride in the fact that, despite possessing significant elements of power—particularly its highly strategic position in global geopolitics—it has never initiated a war throughout its several‑thousand‑year history and has consistently supported the establishment of peace and justice in the world.

Despite this honorable legacy, regrettably, on 28 February 2026, for the second time within the past nine months, our beloved country Iran was subjected to a massive and large‑scale armed attack by the United States of America and the Israeli regime. This unexpected attack occurred while bilateral negotiations between Iran and the United States, mediated by several countries, were still underway. Through this unlawful and imprudent act of aggression, the United States and the Israeli regime inflicted immense suffering upon the honorable people of Iran and further stained their record with numerous moral outrages.

The violation of Iran’s territorial integrity; the destruction of military and civilian sites as well as educational, cultural, and health infrastructures; horrific acts of warfare against civilians; the killing of hundreds of citizens - particularly innocent and defenseless women and children, diplomats and journalists- constitute only a small part of the crimes that the United States and the Israeli regime have committed and continue to commit against humanity and the people of Iran. 

Today, we are witnessing how the United States and the Israeli regime are openly violating the fundamental principles of international law, as well as conventions and established norms of human rights and humanitarian law, pushing them toward erosion and collapse. There is growing concern that the efforts undertaken in your capacity as Secretary‑General of the United Nations to establish global peace and justice—and the remaining glimmers of hope for a world free from war and violence—may be severely undermined.

Some acts of cruelty and war crimes that have reportedly been confirmed by impartial international bodies during the past week are the following:

1) Violation of the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, including the prohibition of the threat or use of force against a member state under the pretext of so‑called preventive self‑defense, as well as the principles of sovereign equality of states and the right of peoples to self‑determination.

2) The advancement of brazen claims and interference in the internal affairs of Iran, in violation of the fundamental principles of international law recognizing the right of peoples to self‑determination and the political independence of states.

3) Violations of the customary and treaty‑based rules of international human rights law and international humanitarian law, including the commission of the following crimes:

- Attacks on cultural and educational centers, including a strike that resulted in the killing of 168 young schoolchildren.  

- Targeting cultural and historical sites, including locations registered in United Nations documents as part of the common heritage of humanity.  

- Attacks on hospitals and medical centers leading to the deaths of hundreds of patients, nurses, and physicians.  

- Bombardment of non‑military sites and the killing of political officials, religious leaders, and civilians.  

- Bombing of national economic infrastructure, university centers, and residential areas.  

Your Excellency,

Undoubtedly, indifference or inaction on the part of international institutions and figures in the face of such blatant violations of international law and such acts of cruelty would inflict a severe blow upon the already fragile body of international law and international institutions, including international human rights law, humanitarian law, and the ethical foundations of human civilization and the culture of peace.

We, a group of professors and scholars from various fields of the humanities in Iran who are deeply committed to peace and justice, while expressing our profound sorrow over the violation of our country’s territorial integrity and the continuation of crimes committed by the United States and the Israeli regime against the noble people of Iran—including the unlawful and unethical assassination of the head of state and the political and religious leader of our society—wish to emphasize our grave concern regarding the ramifications of these crimes.

We warn that the distorted and discriminatory ideology of Zionism, supported by the arrogant conduct of the President of the United States, may gradually prevail over the logic of peace and human rights—principles that are the product of centuries of effort by philosophers and activists across the world to guide humanity away from war and violence toward a peaceful global order. Such a development could plunge the world into a crisis created by a radical minority driven by inhumane tendencies, the consequences of which may take decades, if not centuries, to repair.

Therefore, we respectfully express our earnest expectation that Your Excellency, at this pivotal moment in history and in light of the recent developments—particularly the unprecedented attacks against Iran’s vital infrastructure—will, in keeping with your moral responsibility and your legal and institutional mandate under the Charter of the United Nations, give due consideration to bringing the issue of the military aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran—constituting a grave breach of international peace and security—before the United Nations Security Council.

We also trust that these alarming violations of international law and human rights will receive the serious attention they deserve, and that Your Excellency’s esteemed office will play an active role in encouraging collective international efforts aimed at the immediate cessation of hostilities, the prevention of further crimes, and the promotion of peace and the rule of law.
